Jesus warned, “The Son of Man will be given into the hands of wicked men…. Nobody takes my life, but I give it up on my own.”
Jesus has two kinds of obedience: passive and active. He passively allowed the wicked men to capture him, beat him, and in the end, to crucify and kill him. Jesus active obedience? Thank God that Jesus did those 10 commandments demanded by the Father for you because we can’t: sin is too deep inside of us. Before the world was even created, God knew we’d mess it up in the garden and that the second person of the Trinity would fix it. Jesus is crucified, dead, and buried for you. God gives us faith to trust these promises of God.
